The purpose of this organization is to reduce fast fashion consumption and clothing waste production on ECU's campus. After receiving clothing donations from students, Pirate Swap holds a pop-up shop event on campus for students to purchase gently used clothing and accessories. At a low cost, students can revamp their wardrobes while practicing sustainable living habits. We hope to provide students with information on how fashion waste contributes to global warming and our environmental crisis, thus empowering them to take steps towards a more sustainable lifestyle. All proceeds of Pirate Swap are used to fund club events and purchases, as well as donated to other club projects on the ECU campus geared towards sustainability.
