About
McWane's mission is to spark wonder and curiosity about our world through hands-on science experiences. Through sharks and stingrays, Alabama dinosaurs, and on the floor program facilitation, we give visitors a chance to engage and interact with inquiry-based learning opportunities in STEM. As a McWane Science Center volunteer, you will have the opportunity to uphold our mission by supporting science literacy, building interest, and engaging the Birmingham community in STEM concepts. Our volunteers remind guests that everyone can use science to improve and enrich their lives and communities and that science is for everyone!
If you are interested in volunteering with us, let us know by completing a volunteer application. These applications can be found at https://www.mcwane.org/volunteer/
