About

PERIOD is a global organization acting to end period poverty, inequity, and stigma through education, service, and advocacy.

At Washington State University, PeriodWSU focuses on service. We host donation drives for menstrual products across campus residence halls and within sorority houses. We use donated and fundraised menstrual products to create Period Packs. Period Packs contain the average amount of menstrual products needed to last through one menstrual cycle. Our menstrual packs are distributed to menstruators in need either by our members or by Food Not Bombs of the Palouse. Food Not Bombs is an organization in Moscow, Idaho that distributes food to families and residents needing food assistance in the Pullman/Moscow area. Period-WSU takes the other half of the menstrual packs, and distributes them to shelters or directly to houseless people in Spokane, Washington. These distribution trips have been supplemented in the past with food and blankets from Food Not Bombs and AMDT Fashion Club, respectively.
