Clinton Community Nature Center

The Clinton Community Nature Center is a community treasure where history and nature meet. Nestled in the heart of Clinton, the Clinton Nature Center offers members and guest miles of walking trails, a children's play area, historic landmarks, educational lectures, and a variety of family-friendly special events throughout the year. Under the guidance of a board of directors and two new co-directors, the Clinton Nature Center is rapidly expanding the programs and partnerships offered to members of the community, to include monthly educational and social programming for Preschool Nature Nuts, Nature Enthusiasts over 60, school aged Nature Explorers, weekly Yoga classes, and most recently, Trailblazers, a program for adults with special needs. We offer Summer Day Camp and hope to offer Scout Badge Workshops and a location for Scouts to complete projects in the next year. Memberships and donations keep our lights on and doors open. Volunteers help run events and keep the Clinton Nature Center beautiful and in good repair. Work Day Volunteers may find themselves wielding a shovel for trail maintenance or in the Play Forest helping the children paint rocks. Price Hall Volunteers are always needed to open the building. This is an excellent opportunity for students to fit in two hours once a week to catch up on school work while fulfilling service hours. The Clinton Nature Center can offer unique opportunities for volunteers to share their special skills and interests with the community. There is always a repair needed, new sustainable living project to start, bird feeders to fill, flags to put out on holidays, fun events to attend, programs to participate in, nature to explore, and problems to solve.
