Will be required to fill out an application first, then once application is received we will send you information on where to get your fingerprints done. You do not need to worry about payment, that will be taken care of. The process is quick and there are several locations to choose from (such as a UPS) to get them done.

  • CPR/FIRST Aid certified (preferred but not necessary as a volunteer)
  • Candidate will be responsible for aiding the lead teacher in caring of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age in a mixed environment.
  • Candidate will be responsible for working on developmentally appropriate educational material to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age
  • Under direct guidance from our Special Education Teacher and Lead Teacher
  • Must have a passion for children
  • Maintains a classroom environment which promotes active learning
  • At times, will help with daily classroom routines, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, setting up meals, etc. (we use the HiMama app for attendance and reports)
  • Adheres to Emmy’s Academy policies and procedures
  • Uses appropriate judgment to always act in the best interest of students
  • Maintain an orderly learning environment
  • Share routine duties with other staff (supervision on playground, toileting, cleanup, classroom maintenance)
  • Assist in keeping room and other areas neat and clean
  • Interact with children in activities he/she is supervising
  • Perform appropriate hand washing and sanitizing procedures
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

Schedule:

  • After school (1:30pm-6pm)
  • Monday - Friday
