Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

Description

The Basic Needs Center is hosts Mobile Food Pantry events to distribute groceries. We are partnering with Community Food Share to make sure the CU Boulder and larger community have access to fresh, healthy food. Join us for a fast-paced, engaging service experience that makes a direct impact in the community!

If you register and are unable to attend your volunteer shift, please cancel your registration to allow waitlisted individuals to register.

 

Requirements and Risk:

Volunteers must be able to stand on their feet, walk around, bend, stretch, and lift 20-30 pound boxes of food. We will be interacting with students, staff, faculty, and community members. The risk of exposure to heat, cold, illness, or other factors is increased. Many of the volunteer roles are physically demanding. For accommodations, please email basicneeds@colorado.edu. 

 

What to Bring and Wear:

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move around in. Closed-toed shoes are required. Bring a water bottle and snacks if you'd like.
