| Description | Did you know that 1 in 3 families don’t have access to an adequate supply of diapers? The Texas Diaper Bank recognized this need, and has been working since 2013 to change the lives of babies, children with disabilities, and seniors in the Greater San Antonio Area and 12 surrounding counties. Last year, the Texas Diaper Bank distributed $1.78 million worth of product, impacted 75,000 individuals, worked with 39 agencies, and had volunteers log 6,000 hours. Join your fellow Jaguars as we help this great organization achieve its mission to address the diaper gap and its impact on individuals in crisis. Volunteers will help repackage diapers or prepare donations for distribution to Teas Diaper Bank clients who receive from their office and their 54 partner agencies. Volunteers may also help with some of the day to day tasks that make distribution and cataloguing more efficient. Parking: PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. Park at the back of the building across from Bay 13 which is next to the big white semitrailer (you can't miss it). The volunteer door will be open before the event starts. Attire: Warehouse is climate controlled, dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather, and please wear closed toe shoes! This event is a wonderful time to sport your group's t-shirts! Notes: Texas Diaper Bank encourages you to bring your personal water bottle for your use at our bottle refilling station! Light snacks and cold water are provided throughout the event. Children and Age threshold: All children 9 and up are welcome to join! And when signing up children or those who may accompany you, if they lack a unique email or phone number for the sign in process, simply leave a "registration note" stating how many will be going when you sign up. Social Media: We encourage all volunteers to take pictures, and post them on your favorite social media accounts, tag your group and tag the Texas Diaper Bank! 1803 Grandstand Dr. Suite 150 San Antonio, TX 78238 |
