I am grateful to serve as the Program Director of the UAB AmeriCorps. I have served with AmeriCorps twice - first as a member of FEMA Corps and then as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader at UAB. During my service at UAB, I had the privilege of being supervised by Dr. Hutson-Chatham. I learned about the positive impact that the UAB program was making through AmeriCorps VISTA. As the UAB AmeriCorps program manager since 2019, I have been able to support our VISTAs and partner sites to develop sustainable solutions to alleviate poverty.
