    UT Microfarm Volunteering Sessions

    Today, I helped weed out a section of the microfarm, sift compost, and till soil to make it possible to plant broccoli!

    I signed up to volunteer at the Central Food Bank here in Austin, TX for the date of 9/13/2016. I was mostly inside the warehouse helping sort, pack and distribute meals. There were a couple of other groups and individuals there as well, so it made packing each food station easier and at a faster pace. It's been my first time volunteering this semester at the Food Bank and I enjoyed it. I plan on going for more sessions this week! It was definitely a rewarding experience.

    I attended the Central Texas Children's Home on the 16th of November. I got to play with the little kids and have a Thanksgiving meal with them!

    On November 4th, I attended an event called Reading Rangers where we spent an hour helping elementary school students with reading!
