I love that this friend group had the courage and the love of service to make this idea a reality. The mothers of the community who need support became a topic of discussion which does not happen very often. It was a pleasure being a part of that.

We mostly worked on helping to tidy up the center and throw away unused and old items. I do wish that we were able to meet and interact with some veterans, but we still had a good time.

It was great mingling with the freshmen and my new mentees. We taught them a few line dances toward the end and a few were able to catch on!

Great hands-on work!

It was humbling to know that the work that we did will help families live in housing that is affordable for them! I love that I could participate in something related to my majors (Architectural and Civil Engineering).

Love attending the Alzheimer’s Walk every year! This is my 3rd year participating/volunteering in the walk. I go for my great grandmother who passed from the disease.

I like that there was a variety of tools to decorative with. And the karaoke competition was a great interactive activity.

Great Initiative! The kids will love the cards.
