Grace Pulleyn

I volunteered at the UNCW Recycling Center on Tuesday, where I sorted different types of paper and helped separate bottles and cans into aluminum and plastic. It was eye-opening to see how much work goes into recycling. Everyone worked well together, helping each other and communicating when problems came up, like deciding where items should go. This experience connects to my values of responsibility and making a difference. It also relates to my interest in business by showing how important teamwork and organization are. I learned that the recycling centers goals were not just recycling, but also helping the community and reducing waste. This experience showed me how important teamwork and leadership are, and it will help me in my future career.
