I attended The Phoenix's Rock the Block party, where I tabled alongside Trey for ANF Wichita. We met many Wichita residents and welcomed new members into the ANF Wichita community! It was great getting out in the community, socializing what ANF is all about, and bringing more people into our group to increase our ability to impact Wichita for the better.
It was great to see different groups of servant-hearted people from the Greater Wichita area come together to ensure the Urban Prep Academy students had a clean, well-maintained playground. We trimmed trees and cleaned up the brush area, so if they kick a ball outside their playground fence, it is easy for students to retrieve. It looked great when we were done.
It was great to see students and teachers genuinely interested in people outside of their normal sphere. The students demonstrated excitement and a willingness to serve others as they filled backpacks and blessing bags and cleaned up a neighborhood. I appreciated the opportunity to serve alongside them and hope we get to serve with Collegiate students again, alongside the community they are serving.
