Pantry Support & Donation Pickups

Caritas of Austin is looking for reliable, committed volunteers to support our pantry and food access efforts. Whether you're picking up food donations or helping organize our pantry, your time helps ensure our clients have access to essential groceries.

We have three ongoing volunteer opportunities available:

1. Randall’s Donation Pickup Volunteer

Schedule: Tuesdays, weekly, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Pick up pantry donations from three Randall’s locations.

• Transport donations safely back to Caritas of Austin.

• Help ensure donated food reaches the clients and families we serve.

Requirements: A reliable vehicle, valid proof of insurance, and the ability to transport donations.

2. Carol’s Kindness Donation Pickup Volunteer

Schedule: Two Saturdays per month, 1:30–3:30 PM

Location: Gus Garcia Recreation Center- 1201 E Rundberg Ln

Responsibilities:

• Pick up food donations from Carol’s Kindness located at Gus Garcia Rec Center

• Transport donations to Espero Housing Community located at 1934 Rutland Dr.

Requirements: A reliable vehicle, valid proof of insurance, and the ability to transport donations.

3. Pantry Support Volunteer

Schedule: Mondays–Wednesdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Location: Caritas of Austin, 611 Neches Street

Responsibilities:

• Assist with organizing and stocking pantry items.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pantry space.

• Support daily pantry operations to ensure food is accessible to the clients we serve.

Volunteer Requirements

All positions require a brief interview and background check. Volunteers assisting with donation pickups must also provide proof of vehicle insurance.
