I assisted in the consumer science club. We had a cookie decorating contest where we tested the students' knowledge of primary and secondary colors, the color wheel, and which colors mix to make other colors.
Today, I worked with the makerspace club. I helped some of the students build different structures using magnetic blocks and triangles, and I explained why some of the magnets did not stick together while others did. I also helped some of the students create and draw their own animal, and I showed some of the students how to write the words for their background stories.
I went with the Kindergarten group into the gym to play soccer, basketball, and color. Then, I went to to play a scavenger hunt game with numbers and colors. Then, I went back into the gym to play wolf and 4 corners.
I helped manage the students during their outside break as well as in the gym while playing four corners.
I worked with a group of second grade students in the sewing club. I helped the students make holes in their cut out, thread needles, pulling threads, and whatever else was needed.
I assisted with a second grade group in the drama club where we introduced ourselves and played charades. Then, we had a code red drill to ensure the students, teachers, and assistants understood what to do in the situation. I also assisted with a second grade group in crafting their own stuffed monsters.
