MLK Day of Service

Monday, January 20th, 2020 from 9:00am to 2:00pm

About

MLK Day of Service is the third of four large days of service that the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement offers throughout the year.  It is an easy way to volunteer in the community without having to volunteer on your own or navigate finding potential sites on your own.  There are three parts of a day of service at ECU:
  1. Check-In & Kick-off with Keynote Speaker & Breakfast* (9:00-10:00 AM)
  2. Service (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - two hours)
  3. Reflection & Closing (1:00-2:00 PM)

You should register to attend the Check-In & Kick-off, ONE service site, and the Reflection & Closing.

Transportation to volunteer sites is NOT provided but there are some sites within walking distance.  Be sure to read all of the details before choosing your service "shift" or site.  Some sites have specific dress requirements or online volunteer forms that must be completed before you participate.  Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Kaitlyn Isherwood, Graduate Assistant in CLCE - isherwoodk15@students.ecu.edu
*Breakfast provided for first 80 participants and ALL participants will receive a snack bag to take with them during service.
