About
Seeking compassionate & organized volunteers to 'adopt' home-bound hospice patients in the greater Lafayette LA area. This involves making care packages, cards, phone calls, etc. to 1-2 hospice patients. The time commitment is minimal after training courses and the activity will largely be done remotely due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, but the reward is HUGE! Hospice patients and their families/caregivers love our volunteers and appreciate their service during this time. Our team here at Acadian Hospice is full of super friendly and incredible people!
All of our employees are pre-screened DAILY for COVID-19 and offices are following CDC guidelines for social distancing.
**N.B. this position is open to individuals age 18+ in the Lafayette, Louisiana area! Unfortunately we cannot hire individuals outside of the state of Louisiana. **

- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
