This position focuses on communication with prospective employers including: receiving calls requesting workers, processing online worker requests, relaying expectations to employers around fair wages and safe workplace conditions, following up with employers regarding their experience with Casa Latina workers, entering employment and feedback information into a database.
Requirements: No Spanish required, but there are opportunities to practice conversational Spanish. Currently we have a capacity of only 1 volunteer per day. All applicants need to start by filling out this Volunteer Application Form.
Time:
Monday-Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Students will choose times within the time slots above.

Context:
Casa Latina is a community-based non-profit organization that seeks to advance the power and well-being of the Latinx community through Employment, Education, and Community Organizing.
Students who volunteer with Casa Latina often go on to continue their relationship and seek other experiences through our organization. We especially encourage you to sign up with us if you are interested in continuing your experience beyond the length of the semester.

Impact:
We have a large number of people coming to Casa Latina to get work every day. Through our Day Workers' Center, men and women are connected with employers and temporary jobs that often lead to full-time, permanent employment. This gives them the tools they need to work, live, and support their families.
