About

Help give Lake Sequoyah a little love! The Beaver Watershed Alliance, City of Fayetteville and Boston Mt. Solid Waste District have partnered to clean up trash in the East Fork of the White River Watershed, and your help will improve wildlife habitat on Lake Sequoyah and water quality in Northwest Arkansas.

For this event volunteers will be given supplies and a cleanup spot around the lake (trails, open space, roadsides, shoreline) and after cleaning up will gather to sort recycling and enjoy pizza and some great prizes.

Please note: We REALLY need help with cleaning the lake's remote shorelines.  These are the areas with the most litter, but are only reachable by boat and are muddy.  We will ferry volunteers to these spots, so if you are interested in helping in these areas please make sure to wear your rain boots or muck boots.

We request that all participants register through Givepulse so that we can accurately gauge how much food to order.  If your group isn't able to register, please send a message through Givepulse to let us know how many you plan on bringing.

This cleanup is being hosted in conjunction with the "Pick Up Where You Play" series of cleanups.  Anyone 18 or older participating in these events may be entered in to a drawing to win a guided striper fishing expedition on Beaver Lake!
