About

Looking to meet others, get outside, and learn more about the city through volunteering? Join PSU’s Student Community Engagement Center, the Student Sustainability Center, and the Center for Retail Leadership for a litter clean-up in the areas neighboring our campus! This project is open to all Portland State University students and friends of the university. No experience necessary.

Help keep our public spaces clean, enjoy some time outside, learn some interesting things about downtown landmarks and local nonprofits, and do something to support the city that PSU calls home. Many hands make light work! Volunteers will check-in, get oriented in small teams, grab gear, and then spread out in small pods into the nearby streets. After picking up litter in our designated areas while connecting to downtown’s many offerings, we will reconvene on campus for a post-project wrap-up, conversation, and an optional boxed snack.
During the project, you'll get to learn more about our local downtown area while making a positive impact and connecting with other students, PSU alumni, and local business leaders along the way.
The event is hosted in collaboration between the PSU Center for Retail Leadership, the Student Sustainability Center, and the Student Community Engagement Center's #serveyourcityserveyourcampus program, with promotion support from the PSU alumni-founded Tuesdays4Trash.

Our community partners include SOLVE and Adopt A Block.
Registration is required via GivePulse -- look for the green registration button on this page to confirm your registration. If you're a PSU student, you can use your PSU email/password to login and get signed up via single sign-on!
