♻️ Mushroom Block Delivery

Central Texas Mycological Society partners with a local mushroom farms in Buda, TX to divert “spent” mushroom blocks from of the waste and build healthy soil! There are 9,000+ blocks per week to divert and we need your help.

REQUIREMENTS

• Block delivery means you must take 50+ blocks in your own vehicle to deliver to host pick-up sites in the Austin area. Most vehicles including cars and hatchbacks will work. We recommend you use a tarp— it gets messy.

  • You may be asked to deliver as far as Cedar Park and Pflugerville; we will try to schedule a drop off near your area of residence, but some sites need more help than others. If you have conflicts, please let us know.

• Once you sign-up we will email you the instructions, safety protocols, directions to the farm, and the drop-off location of the blocks.

  • While you are at the farm you can also pick-up mushroom blocks for your own projects to build healthy soil!

• If you ONLY want to take them for your own use, you are encouraged to do so but we ask you to sign-up through this link. This page is for volunteering to drop-off at official CTMS host pick-up sites.
