About
Sickle cell anemia, or sickle cell disease (SCD), is the most common form of inherited blood disorder. SCD affects African Americans at much higher rates than people of other ethnicities. To address this, in collaboration with "Blended by Jada", "Your Health, Our Hope" will be writing notes of encouragement to sickle cell patients at Piedmont Health Services Agency. Throughout the event, information will be provided to participants addressing sickle cell disease to increase personal/community advocacy and awareness. All materials are provided (cards and markers).
- Make at least one card in order to receive three hours of community service via our GivePulse.
