Lake Wilson Invasive Pull

Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00pm (CT)
This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

About

Protect this beautiful park by helping to remove non-native plants from the woodlands surrounding the lake!  Volunteers will gain instruction on winter invasive plant identification and removal techniques, and will help to remove bush honeysuckle and Chinese privet, allowing native plants a chance to emerge and establish.  Water and tools will be provided; volunteers should wear protective clothing and sturdy shoes.  No experience required!

Bonus! Thanks to our generous local businesses Basecamp Coffee Co. and Ozark Natural Foods, who are donating coffee and baked treats for the event.

And a double thanks to our co-hosts Pack Rat Outdoor Center and the Fabulous Faebyan, and the super sweet Shadwick Family of the UA Biology Dept who have inspired and kept this project moving.

Come have fun with us while making a difference!
