About
The Point-In-Time (PIT) Count is an annual count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. The data collected during the PIT Count is partially used to determine the services and resources needed in different communities to help prevent and/or end homelessness. You can learn more about the annual PIT Count here.
The Guilford County Point-In-Time Count will begin the evening of Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Those interested in volunteering may do so in a variety of ways, including conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness and/or providing support to those conducting the interviews. Please see the volunteer roles listed below to identify the best fit.
We welcome groups and individuals to contact infoCoC@guilfordcountync.gov with any questions regarding the 2024 PIT Count.
All volunteers must attend one mandatory volunteer training prior to participation in the Point-In-Time Count. Trainings will be in-person preferred with possible hybrid option. If you do not attend one of the mandatory trainings without informing the organizers and developing an alternative training plan, your volunteer registration will be cancelled.
Training dates:
Wednesday December 6, 2023 from 4 - 5:30pm
Tuesday December 12, 2023 from 6 - 7:30pm
Please sign-up for one of the volunteer trainings by emailing infoCoC@guilfordcountync.gov.
