Event Details
Work alongside the Texas Bamboo Society to revitalize and maintain the bamboo groves in Taniguchi Garden at Zilker Botanical Garden. Meet interesting people, enjoy time outdoors, and support beauty in your community! This opportunity is for garden volunteers over the age of 18 only, thank you.
This event could involve:
- Removing brush
- Mulching
- Weeding
- Pruning
Please arrive prepared to work outdoors with closed-toed shoes and a full water bottle. We recommend you bring a sun hat. Bring your own tools, eye protection, and work gloves to this opportunity. Eye protection is strongly encouraged and gloves are required.
When you arrive at the garden, show your GivePulse confirmation email to the gate staff at check-in to receive free admission for the day.
Once you've checked in, please park in our volunteer parking lot, which is down a dirt road from our regular parking lot, then walk to the flagpole in front of the Garden Center Building.
If you need support ask the staff at the front gate to walkie and a staff member will help you find your group. Thank you for your support of the garden!

The sign up for Nov 9 event brings me to the Sept 14th page and that event is over so sign in for Nov 9 is not possible

We have got to get more of these scheduled again. It was second Saturdays and at least twice a month during the week for a while.
