About

NMDP is a registry for those needing stem cell and marrow transplants. Such recipients are those with leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell disease, and other blood-borne diseases. Formerly called "Be the Match," our goal is to find matches for those in need, hopefully. We have been on campus for a year now, last year we were able to get 1000 people added to the National Marrow Donor Program registry. We set up a booth, and it takes 2 minutes for someone to put themselves on the registry; the volunteer fills out a form and then swabs the inside of their cheek for 10 seconds. We then ship it off, and they are added to the registry. At the Union Mall!!! 1 hour of service
