Join HER Village: Volunteer with Encourage H.E.R. Academy

At Encourage H.E.R. Academy, we believe girls thrive when they are surrounded by a village that sees them, hears them, challenges them, supports them, and reminds them of what is possible.

Our mission goes beyond mentorship. We create intentional experiences that help girls ages 6–17 build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, explore their interests, develop life skills, and become who they are called to be.

And none of that happens without people who are willing to show up.

Why Volunteer with EHA?

When you volunteer with Encourage H.E.R. Academy, you are not simply filling a role or completing service hours. You are becoming part of a community committed to helping girls grow into confident, capable, and courageous young women.

Your time, talents, experiences, and connections can help a girl discover something new about herself, experience an opportunity she may not have otherwise had, or simply know that another caring adult believes in her.

Volunteer Expectations

We expect all volunteers to uphold the following standards while contributing to our programs:

1. Commitment to Time

Minimum Hours: Volunteers are required to commit at least 10 hours per month.
Schedule Flexibility: We offer various opportunities for you to fulfill this commitment, whether in person, virtually, or through special events.
Regular Check-ins: You will be required to check in monthly with your coordinator to confirm your hours and discuss any updates.

2. Active Engagement

Program Participation: Whether working directly with youth or behind the scenes, volunteers must be fully present during activities, programs, or planning sessions.
Proactivity: Engage with participants, other volunteers, and staff. Share ideas or ways to improve experiences and programs.

3. Professional Conduct

Respect: Volunteers are expected to treat every participant, staff member, and fellow volunteer with respect and kindness.
Role Model: Maintain a positive attitude and embody the core values of excellence and resilience that Encourage HER Academy upholds.
Confidentiality: Keep all sensitive information regarding participants and academy operations confidential.

4. Training & Development

Volunteers will be required to attend an orientation session, which includes a review of policies, safety protocols, and program-specific training.
Periodic training workshops will be offered to enhance your skills in working with youth, engaging families, and understanding the community needs we serve.

**All staff, mentors, and volunteers are required to undergo a background check before beginning their roles.**
