Thank you for volunteering to help us here at Community Harvest Food Bank! CHFB services nine different counties in NE Indiana, your efforts will go a long way in impacting the lives of children, military veterans, senior citizens, and their families all around us.
Our volunteer locations are both indoors and outdoors. There is a chance you will be outside. So please be prepared for the weather! Hats, gloves, sunglasses, etc…
- Please wear comfortable clothing for walking, bending, and lifting.
- Valuables are best left locked safely in your vehicles.
- Bottled water is on site.
- Closed toe shoes are a requirement (pleaseJ).
- Photos and video are encouraged, please share and tag Community Harvest on social media! (Please avoid CHFB clients and /or license plates in your photos. Keep those selfies framed tight! J )
Please use this link to register:
Registering online will allow you to sign in on the iPad in the Volunteer Center and let CHFB know how many volunteers we have coming.
Please enter through the Volunteer Entrance, near the three flagpoles. If the door is locked, please turn around and head to the Main Entrance door, and ring the bell. This door is to the left of the Food Pantry's sliding doors. Once inside the volunteer lobby, you'll pick up your volunteer vest, and you'll get to meet me, Clark! You will have a short orientation and brief tour if this is your first time with us and I will answer any questions you may have.
PARKING ON WEEKDAYS:
Please park in the CHFB parking lot. Look for the Volunteer Entrance door which is next to three flagpoles.
PARKING ON SATURDAYS:
On Saturday Helping Hands Distribution Days: PLEASE park in:
- Fire Police City County Credit Union’s parking lot.
- Midwest America Credit Union’s parking lot.
- Domino's Pizza parking lot.
All three are right next to, or across the street from, Community Harvest Food Bank.
We are honored you have chosen to give your time. If you’d like to give other ways as well we have several options to do so!
- Food donations! We have a food donation barrel in the volunteer lobby but can easily handle any size donation!
- Monetary donations! We can take cards, checks, cash, or you can donate online at www.communityharvest.org/donate
There are so many great causes out there and we are honored to be chosen. We are happy to help connect you with other great organizations in the event you’d like to volunteer somewhere else also! On behalf of all Community Harvest Foodbank employees, agencies, supporters, and clients,
Thank you.
