About
Provide supervision and engagement of the children of mothers taking the fitness class in a neighboring room. While mothers are exercising, 2-3 volunteers care for their kids in another room, providing an approximately 15-minute planned kids movement activity or game, and supervising free play for the remainder of the time. This will allow moms to sink into the mind-body movement class for their own peace and wellbeing and to form community support with a network of other moms, while enriching the kids with safe social time and enjoyable exercise.
Embodiment Fitness Class Description: A somatic movement practice for all bodies, including pregnant, postpartum, and senior populations. Music-led exercises blending yoga, qigong, dance, weightlifting, and calisthenics provide opportunities to inhabit your body as it is right now and balance strength and softness. Every Thursday 9:30-10:30am at the Pullman Parks & Rec Center, room 213.
