Project H.O.P.E Presents: Bring the HEAT for the HOMELESS ISLAND FEST (2 Day Event)

Food is one of the best ways to engage people. Anytime there are food events on campus and in the community, everyone comes out, so why not come out for a good cause!

The food will make our stomach happy while canned goods/hygiene products, and clothing donations will give our homeless neighbors needed resources. Did we mention, a portion of the proceeds will go towards PROJECT H.O.P.E  Initiatives to support Vulnerable populations near NC A&T 

Goals, what will be the result of our program? 

-Students will be afforded the opportunity to give back to their community and enjoy great food 

- Restaurant vendors will get a chance to market their business to the A&T population

How will this impact the homeless community in Greensboro?

Donating is one of the greatest and most accessible ways to give back to homeless individuals. In doing this event, we will be able to pour into this community at a big scale, while also involving Aggies!

How can you get involved with our Initiatives?

This is a 2 day event we need all hands on deck both days.

1. Wed April 30th we are hosting a Bring the Heat for the Homeless Carribean Island Fest on Campus outside of MOORE GYM from 2-7pm.  Serving up: Good Food, Good Music, Good VIBES!
   
   
2. Thursday May 1st 10-3pm we are hosting a Bring the Heat Carribean Island Fest Cookout at the Interactive Resource Center (IRC) 407 E. Washington Street Greensboro NC.  Serving up: Good Food, Good Music, Good VIBES for our Homeless neighbors!

Performance and fellowship are the greatest tools to unify a group of individuals. We need Volunteers for the following:

• Performances Day 1 April 30th (campus) and Day 2  May 1st IRC Homeless Center  E. Washington street
• Receiving, organizing, packaging donations Day 1 on campus outside MOORE GYM April 30th
• Helping Hands  for Homeless Cookout (volunteers to assist with clothing/food/care package distribution, cook-out setup/breakdown, serving, and support) Day 2 at IRC May 1st. We expect to serve approximately 150 Residents at the IRC in Greensboro 10-3pm.
