Volunteer Ballet Coach (Youth Performing Arts Program – Ages 5–18)

Toxic Elite Dance Company is seeking a skilled, reliable, and youth-centered Volunteer Ballet Coach to lead evening ballet classes for girls ages 5–18. This role is part of our ongoing dance training program that nurtures the artistic development, discipline, and confidence of young dancers in a culturally affirming and inclusive environment. The ideal coach brings a strong background in ballet and a genuine passion for working with children of all skill levels.

Time Commitment:

• Days: 1–3 evenings per week (flexible scheduling)

• Hours: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

• Location: Toxic Elite Dance Company (onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ballet classes for youth ranging from beginners to experienced dancers

• Create age-appropriate, engaging, and structured lessons

• Foster a positive, respectful, and affirming class culture

• Prepare students for seasonal performances, showcases, or competitions

• Provide mentorship, discipline, and encouragement to students at all levels

• Collaborate with the dance team to ensure continuity and excellence in instruction

Ideal Volunteer Has:

• Strong background in ballet or formal dance education

• Experience teaching or coaching youth (especially ages 5–18)

• Exceptional classroom management and communication skills

• A trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and child-centered teaching approach

• Passion for dance, community, and empowering young artists
