Keep Austin Beautiful x Austin Parks Foundation Beautify and Brew: Dove Springs Cleanup

Howdy! Put on your shoes and grab your water bottle as you head out the door to join Austin Parks Foundation and Keep Austin Beautiful for a litter cleanup at Dove Springs Park, with post-event refreshments provided by Lazarus Brewery.

Project Goals: Volunteers will help cleanup and clear a portion of Williamson Creek within Dove Springs District Park. This cleanup will help remove brush, debris and trash that has gathered within the creek.

Where to park: Please feel free to park anywhere at Dove Springs District Park parking lot.

Where we will begin: We will meet at the baseball fields towards the back of the park.

Accessibility: Please note that our activity for the day will involve walking on uneven terrain, slopes and wet/muddy surfaces. 

What to bring: Closed toe shoes, a FULL water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and comfortable clothing. We will provide all tools and neoprene gloves - if you have your own gardening or work gloves you are welcome to bring them.

A NOTE ON SAFETY: We encourage you to “See and Be Seen!” Be mindful of your fellow volunteers and maintain awareness of your surroundings at all times. Dial 911 in case of emergency.

In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, Austin Parks Foundation and Keep Austin Beautiful staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
