Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the Women*s Center. We are so grateful for your interest and look forward to having you become part of our grassroots crew.
Before you can volunteer for the academic year, you must attend a volunteer orientation. Volunteer orientations will be scheduled on GivePulse and will not require a code. All other shifts will require a code, which you will receive at orientation. Please do not email to ask about unlocking shifts and instead intend an orientation! :)
What's it like to volunteer at the Women*s Center?
Volunteering can take on many forms, but typically volunteers help us out by greeting visitors from the Front Desk, restocking our supplies, cleaning, and doing other little office projects. We also may occasionally post special shifts that will involve helping at events! Be sure to read the shift description to see what you might be doing that day.
Where do shifts take place?
All shifts take place in the Women*s Center, in Wilson-Short Hall, Room 8.
Why do I need a code to sign up?
The demand for volunteer shifts is huge, and the nature of the work we do is sensitive and private. Because of this, we require all volunteers to go through group training and orientation to understand how the center operates, learn about privacy procedures and laws, and ensure you feel comfortable working in the center.
