About
Check out the dates below to volunteer for an upcoming AR Free Legal Answers Clinic. At these clinics, attorneys and law student volunteers work together to answer questions from low and moderate-income Arkansans who can't afford an attorney. The clinics all take place via Zoom from 12 to 1pm. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you the day before the clinic.
Information for Attorney Volunteers:
- If you're a new volunteer, please make sure to create an account before the clinic by clicking here.
- A Free Legal Answers training is available here. This training is optional for attorneys and cannot be counted for CLE credit.
- You can claim CLE credit for answering questions at these clinics. Just be sure to record your time as you answer questions. Read more here.
- Malpractice coverage is provided for the pro bono work you do with us. Thank you to the American Bar Association for providing this policy!
Information for Law Students:
- A Free Legal Answers training is available here. This training is mandatory for new law student volunteers. You can count the time you spend watching the training as part of your pro bono hours.
- If all law student slots are taken for a clinic, please DO NOT sign up as an attorney volunteer. We have to limit the number of law student volunteers to ensure all students are supervised. There will be 20+ clinics each year, so there will be many opportunities to participate.
- The AR Free Legal Answers administrator will email you the Zoom link a day before the clinic.
- If you have any questions, email us at edith@arkansasjustice.org.
