Boggy Creek Trash Clean Up - McKinley Heights Neighborhood

What to bring: Closed toe shoes, a FULL water bottle, and comfortable clothing. We will provide all tools and neoprene gloves - if you have your own gardening or work gloves or a preferred brand of bug spray you are invited to bring them. 

Where to park: Park in the Downs Mabson parking lot by entering from Alexander St.  You can also park on Alexander.

Where we will begin:  

We will meet in the parking lot near Mabson field off of Alexander Ave by 9am.  After going over safety protocol, we will disperse along the creek north of 12th street (behind the baseball fields.) With some volunteers going up along the trail to around the Community Gardens.  
Tools and supplies will be provided thanks to Keep Austin Beautiful.  Make sure to bring water to drink!

This is a great opportunity for neighbors and those who use the trail to pitch in and maintain this stretch of creek.  Also, it is a great way to earn volunteer hours while improving our environment.  

Youth Volunteers: All volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must register and attend with the youth volunteer. Independent registrations submitted by minors are not permitted. 

A NOTE ON SAFETY: We encourage you to “See and Be Seen!” Be mindful of your fellow volunteers and maintain awareness of your surroundings at all times. Dial 911 in case of emergency.
