Assist CU in welcoming our new incoming students into the Residence Halls! There are many roles available:
- Swag Distribution Volunteer - Swag Distributors will serve both in the capacity of greeting students with enthusiasm, as well as distributing their welcome bag & class t-shirt. This role could be seated, or standing, depending on the volunteers preference, and in most cases will be outdoors under a tent. To be successful in this role, volunteers should have enthusiasm and willingness to pull students into conversation. The primary function of this role is to help create a fun, exciting, atmosphere during the check-in process
- Golf Cart Shuttle Volunteer - (open to CU Staff and Faculty only) must have a valid driver's license and take the online Defensive Driving Training- shuttle visitors with mobility assistance from parking structures to Residence Halls and answer questions while providing a welcoming environment.
- Luggage Cart Volunteer - Luggage cart volunteers, in most instances, will work outdoors under a tent, to check out luggage carts to incoming students and families. Volunteers will also maintain a waitlist and may need to use their personal cell phones to call/text waiting students to notify them when a cart is returned. Cart volunteers working the first, and last, shift of the day may be asked to help move carts into, or out of, overnight storage.
