Wednesday - Fall 2026 Afternoon Programs - ESP Athens

Twelve weeks of life-changing volunteering! Join our after-school program every Wednesday from 3:45 pm - 6:15 pm starting September 9th. Training will be on September 2nd and 3rd from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm! Monday/Wednesday Volunteers should attend on September 2nd, and Tuesday/Thursday Volunteers should attend on September 3rd. Please prioritize in-person training, attending either day you are able to, with preference on September 2nd. You do not have to come to both days.  

Our afternoon program gives our members the chance to become star athletes and world-renowned artists through classes like Move & Motion, Get Curious, Get Crafty, Cooking, and Music Therapy. This afternoon programming provides purposeful recreation for our members to learn new skills, gain confidence, strengthen their abilities, and make lasting friendships. As an afternoon program volunteer, your responsibility would involve being a best friend ("buddy") to one of our members.

Age Limit: Volunteers should be age 14 or older!

Important note: To accept this position, you MUST commit to all available weeks of this program. You will see these dates after clicking the register button, and then you should click next to all dates shown. This allows us to partner you with a member, then allows that member to count on you to be their "buddy" every week! If you decide to no longer volunteer with us, please unregister to allow others a spot.
