About
What better way to start the day than a stretch and clean? Meet us on the Brush Country Bridge over Williamson Creek at 8am on Sunday, July 26th. We'll meet up, make new friends, get a safety talk, and then head into the Williamson Creek West Greenbelt to help restore our creek by removing trash and debris.
This section of the creek is a 2 mile stretch between the 290/71 and MOPAC. It is a wildlife corridor that used to open up into the Hill Country before the 290/71 expansion at the Y at Oak Hill cut it off. We have a lot of critters that rely on this corridor, even where there isn't any water, so we want to keep the trash out of their home
We hope you'll join us! Bring a friend!
We will meet up on the north side of the bridge at 8am where we will get situated, learn about the creek, and talk safety.
Please be aware, the terrain is rocky, uneven and may be muddy or slippery in some areas. Sturdy shoes are a requirement. Sandals, slides, or any slip on shoes are highly discouraged.
