About
For this activity, children will decorate and color their own jack-o'-lanterns by creating different facial expressions that represent emotions such as happiness, sadness, surprise, silliness, and fear. This activity will encourage creativity, emotional expression, and social-emotional development while allowing children to engage in a fun, October-themed activity. Children will also be encouraged to recognize that everyone experiences different emotions and that all feelings are valid.
