Budgeting & planning
Girl Scout service unit meeting
Chaperoned Girl Scouts troop 5260 event at Lawrence Plaza
Taught self-reliance and fitness skills (such as orienteering, cooking, safe hiking practices, first aid). Set an example as a role model, mentor and leader to help girls build confidence and friendships. Assisted the troop with planning itineraries, budgeting and tracking costs of the troop.
I am a co leader for my girl scout troop, 5499 from Bentonville, and we completed a weekend camping trip. We took the girls camping and showed them how to start a fire and proper fire safety rules. How to cook over an open fire and on a propane burner. We each made a mess pack so that we would have reusable cup, dish, bowl, along with flatware and put it in a mesh bag to not only keep it together but for easy cleanup. We also went on a hike to look at bugs, animals, leaves and other parts of nature.
Love serving as a volunteer with Girl Scouting!
