Fayetteville Park, Trail & Street Cleanups: Self Guided & Group

It was a great day to go pick up trash, the sky was clear and it was a great temperature! I mostly picked up household trash, however there were a couple of interesting items. I found a couple of shirts, a shoe, some metal pieces, a blender, and a bike! It was a very rewarding and tiring day, so now it’s time to watch the Super Bowl!

When I originally signed up for 6 hours, I did not think I would be able to complete the time. However, I actually found it very therapeutic and relaxing just walking a picking up everything I could find. I really felt so happy afterwords because of the benefit that I had made on the community.

I enjoyed being in nature for an extended period of time, and helping the environment at the same time is an added bonus. I will definitely be volunteering for this foundation again.

Yesterday was a super tiring but successful day. I wasn’t able to get as many total bags, but I walked a long stretch of the road and found a lot of big pieces of trash. There was tons of metal, not sure from what, and some very big pieces of trash. A neighbor said thank you to me, which was super nice!
