An amazing presentation from Chris Molina, as well as an interesting view on his past. There was a lot of interesting information, one of which was the fact that people of color are more often the ones that are expected to "code switch".

It was actually a very intriguing meeting! I liked how Mr. Molinda had us get up and do stuff with him. Definitely was fun!

The event was very enlightening. Many of the terminology used by the speakers have been heard before, but I never took the time dig deeper into the history of its creation. AAVE, code-switching, “talking white”, etc., have all been used within our community. However, understanding the impact it makes on the effect of our communication is the real challenge.

It was very interesting that Chris was giving his insight on his true life story in order to encourage us to have the power to become our true selves!
