Our group cleaned up the park area, raking dead pine needles and dumping them in the forest. At first, I didn't understand why we were raking the needles, but then a family arrived and their kids began to play on the playground that we had just recently cleaned. It was this moment that I had realized that we were helping the community, regardless of what we were actually doing. Today's event helped me understand the necessity of community service

I was able to rake pine needles in the park and clean the area to maintain the area for visitors.

it was awesome great to give back
