I was extremely impressed with the SOAR Afterschool Program and the students and staff at George Elementary School yesterday. SOAR puts on an amazing what I like to call "elementary professional development" program. SOAR pushes their students' interactive limits such as public speaking and critical thinking on a competitive stage. I was surprised and delighted to find out that these students are not receiving a participation award, but are rather being truly analyzed and coached on their communication skills. Very well-ran program.
