Overall this was a nice experience, this was the first shift and I had trouble finding where it was going to be set up because the wrong location was given out. However, when the right location was given to the volunteers it was simple to complete the tasks that were given to us. What we did was set out the things that were for set on tables and we folded clothes while categorizing them.
Since this was the last shift it only needed supervision of all the merchandise. This is what I did until it was time to put up everything. I had to help place all the things that were not bought, back into the boxes where they were once. After that was done, the tables were put up and then the rest was handles by staff members.
This event was a great vibe and a great environment. The people I coraborated with were so nice and it was a success, met many new people and I would be willing to do this again.
I learned that selling stuff that people don't use anymore creates space to recycle and to not waste.
volunteering at this event was good and most of what I did was organizing the clothes and items on the table as well as staying on watch making sure nothing was taken without being paid for first
