The YouTube presentation of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), and the Administration for Community Living (ACL) was quite interesting. As someone who is very close to individuals with Arthritis, this information will be handful for me in the future.
I got the 2 CITI certificates to start doing research for MDC.
I went beyond my club duties as secretary of the Psychology & Neuroscience club and expanded my volunteering services for the older adults of Miami. I invested a lot of time and effort on scheduling meetings, recording minutes, sharing events and opportunities, and recruiting volunteers for many causes in support of aging. Extending the outreach of the online courses of the Alzheimer’s Association, representing United HomeCare at the college, helping with the logistics of El Cafecito, and being a pioneer of the future Gerontological Society of America Chapter at MDC West Campus are some of the most important impacts I had with the aging community throughout these past 8 months. Even though it wasn’t required for me to engage to much in this way, I still dedicated some of my time to help many events be possible.

So thankful for the outreach work you have done with the older adult population and their care providers. Thank you on their behalf
