At reading to recess I interacted with children during their classroom activities and spent recess with them playing basketball and giving a young girl advice on making friends. It overall was a good experience!
At Washington Montessori, I volunteered with the 3rd graders which had a different dynamic than any of the classes I've been through. We practiced pronunciation, played word games, and learned the rules of grammar, all while maintaining a sense of fun and excitement. We then transitioned to physical education and the students transformed into a team of athletes as they followed the game of football. Throughout my time at Washington Montessori, I enjoyed every moment!
