The event gave me many ideas to strengthen my study skills during classes. It was of extremely importance to know that the environment that you work on impacts your ability to work efficiently. I will be implementing setting timers for focus & breaks.
I learned different apps for organizing and productivity of my class courses.
I also learned that since I'm more productive in the evening means that's the time I get little to no distraction
I should set reminders on my phone about when due dates of an assignment is so I stay on track of what I need to do
I learned about where college students fall short and how to make sure you stay on top of your studies.
We went I over online classes, how they work and what you have to do in them. We also went over some pros and cons to being in them, and how to see if it's the right learning environment for you.
As someone not in any online classes, but took some last semester and do flourish in it, I agree with all the points made on how to know what works best for you. I'll keep those in kind if I ever go back to one, but will mostly use some of the resources given for better time management.
They talked about academic success and how to develop academic skills.
This workshop was informative for remote and online courses. My classes are all remote and online due to transportation issues, so while I do perform better with in-person classes, remote/online classes are more comforting. This workshop gave insightful tips on learning environments, solutions for distractions, online class scheduling, and more. I hope to perform better now that I have some resourceful concepts.
