Scholarship Session #4 - Tuesday

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm (ET)
Nehemie Amazan

My experience was overall, very good. There were some words that the speaker said that stuck with me. After today, I realized I do have imposter syndrome because I feel like I don't belong anywhere. This session today was an eye-opener for me. I like the icebreaker where we had to our group an event that we remember that has brought us joy. I like hearing other people's stories, it was very interesting.

I learned about things I never knew about. I didn’t know of imposter syndrome but was somewhat familiwith code switching.

I loved this meeting because I actually listened and took note of what was said. I knew I had imposter syndrome before coming here, but I never had someone else confirming it. It was good to talk about this because i feel like no one cares about it. Overall, great information that was shared because I learned about the symptoms and coping methods of imposter syndrome. Please do these type of meetings again!

As someone who has been told that they have imposter syndrome, it is really important for people to understand and know what it is in order to feel more empathetic to others that struggle with self esteem and how to help them.

I enjoyed this experience because I feel like we got to see different students point of views when it came to each topic and how they handle them.
