For this event they held candidates for various positions like secretary and treasurer. They also talked about suggestions to the campus and gave information on the new building that is being built. At the end they spun a wheel for prizes for the guests
I enjoyed this event. It's good to be able to see what's happening around the campus with staff and upcoming projects. It's also nice to see that staff are continuously looking for any room of improvement throughout campus such as broken doors, windows, or anything to improve the campus.
We got to learning new group work skills and expand our resumé skills.
I wasn't able to get there at the start. But I liked hearing about the future improvements to be done at the Largo campus, to better the experience for not only students but also visitors of the campus. I think it's something that isn't desperately needed, but could breed a more fun and welcoming community on the campus.
I learned about the new projects pgcc has in mind. I also learned about the budgeting regarding budgeting and competitive pay.
I had attended the College Wide Forum and I had come a few minutes late due to wifi issues but I am glad that I was able to attend not later because of the topics that were covered. I noticed that there were topics covered of broken doors, windows, etc. that should be fixed amongst things that should be retouched like the tennis courts. I always like knowing the safety portions of these meetings being addressed makes the students feel heard about these topics. Another portion that caught my eye was “Planning for Future Investments” because a campus/ school is only as strong as its students. There were things that the Largo campus did well, could be better, and threats which helped give me a better view of my school as a whole.
