The college I wanted to talk to wasn’t there , but it was interesting hearing other college representatives!
During this event we learned that colleges and universities have parking fees and late fees, They also shared information on financial aid and how most colleges and universities offer some form of financial aid and that they encourage you to apply for FAFSA even if you don't qualify. They also shared information on scholarships and how some scholarships are competitive. We also learned about the MSUPGCC B2B program which is a collaborative program with PGCC and Morgan State. This information was important to understand because it will benefit us in the future. Learning more about financial aid, FAFSA and scholarships is always important and will help me apply for some in the future while transferring.
I didn't like this meeting as much because it was just very weird, no presentations or anything, just straight to breakout rooms with representatives. However, it was interesting learning from universities and the transferring process.
It was an informative meeting, I got to talk to the college I want to transfer to and she gave me many useful tips and links to check out that will help me when I transfer.
I liked this fair. I’ve learned a lot about a school I was thinking about transferring to, which was Maryland Institute of college art.
